I am in the process of getting a website duplicated. The website contains information that is very specific to the products that are advertised. The website is a .com and the new one will be .com.au. The original is done on a .net platform and the new one is on wordpress.

These 2 sites operate in different countries.

My question is – will google understand that we are the same company operating in different countries, selling the same product to different clientele. Also will our rankings be affected if all content is cloned for the new site?
