IIS, 405 error at Drupal login
I am trying (11 days in …honest!!) to look at using a CMS and to cut a very long story short I chose Drupal. I installed the most recent version, 7 something onto my xp pro machine using IIS 5.something with my lovely new (working) PHP 5.3.
The install went fine.. there was my test page, great. However when I logged out and then tried to log back in, it wouldn’t let me!!!! it gave me this error page:
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because the page address is incorrect.

Please try the following:
If you typed the page address in the Address bar, check that it is entered correctly.
Open the localhost home page and then look for links to the information you want.
HTTP 405 – Resource not allowed
Internet Information Services
I have trawled the Drupal forum and the wider world and it would appear that this error arises because IIS 5 can not handle the ‘post’ request in forms (which i guess seems about right as i can’t login).
However, I can’t find a solution anywhere as I approach my twelfth day at this.
I long to go outside, eat, sleep..please help
Burnsie
