Inserting paypal BIN custom buttons

This is probably a real basic question.
This is probably a real basic question.
I have my own purchase button on my site – when i create a paypal BIN button it asks for url of button. My site is not online yet so just put a test url on there.
It creates html code (no view of button).
Am I correct that all I need is the BIN Paypal URL which I can put as a link within dreamweaver for my button or not the correct way ?
