You have to remind yourself that believing in the value of your correctly made website, understanding the guarantees and security which comes out of building it in order to satisfy users and seeing that satisfaction, easily guaged if it is built in the right spirit, is MORE IMPORTANT than anything you are forced to tell yourself or others because of the financial gun pointing at your head (in most cases).

That’s when it is more important what your site evolves into than how many cents you scraped out of it in some period of time which is based on your desire for earnings not on your desire to create a real solid longterm business.

The most important part of any website is the loyalty of its users… ie how much they like it or need it or want it. Development which takes place in an environment which doesn’t even make that visible (such as the majority of the blog and social media semi-published or automatic or semi-automatic world) is not part of commercial web development, it’s more like glorified paper-rounds.
